Author's comment:
Recently, I was very interested in the crossover Star Trek
stories. And then, I had thinking. Hey! What if I write the story
myself. The story is like this: the Enterprise is thrown into
another dimension while investigating abnormal phenomenon. In
this universe, more than half of mankind live in the space
colonies -Side- around Earth and Luna. After century long history
of war at the space, there was another war developing. And when
the Enterprise arrived, the situation is becoming real hot.
And now a few pseudo-legal matters to attend to:

When Star Trek:The Next Generation Meet Mobile Suit GUNDAM
by Dennis Hertz
Part One: Opening
Captain's log: Stardate 71793.5
The Enterprise has been dispatched to the Neutral Zone to
investigate an unusual report of a nebulous cloud transversing
the length of the Neutral Zone. Starfleet Headquarters wants the
Enterprise to investigate and determine whether this phenomenon is
a natural one or not, and if not whether the Romulans are behind
it. As Romulans have been quiet for some time, starfleet worried
this might be another plan by them, however I rather hope it's a
natural phenomenon.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard turned off the log switch on his arm
chair and looked around the bridge of the NCC-1701-D Enterprise,
the jewel of the starfleet and his pride. In front of the main
viewer a golden coloured android with a lieutenant commander rank
pips on his collar was at the navigator and a female Bajoran
ensign was at the helms. His faithful klingon security chief was
at the back of the bridge, looking for any danger might out there
as usual. On his right side, his first officer, William T. Riker
and on his left, ship's counselor, Dienna Troi were seated.
"Mr Data, what is our ETA to the Neutral Zone?" He called out
after noticing his first officer and counselor were observing
him. An android officer at the navigator replied immediately.
"Captain, at the current speed, it will take 3 hours 43 minutes
31 seconds." Picard nodded and then turned to his first officer.
"Number One, I'll be in my ready room if you need me. You have
the conn." Picard rose up and walked to his ready room thinking
of the journal he was reading lately.
Captain Picard was enjoying his favorite hot earl-grey tea and
reading the journal on his desk terminal while the Enterprise
cruised at the warp 8.2, when the intercom sounded. "Riker to
Captain." He tapped his comm badge still looking the articles on
the screen, "yes, Number One." "Captain, we're approaching the
Neutral Zone." Picard replied as turning off the terminal, "I'm
on my way. Picard out."
"Status, Mr Data." Picard called out as he stepped into the
bridge. "Captain, we have arrived at the designated coordinates,"
said Data. After seated on his commanding position, Picard
replied. "Good, begin sensor scans of the area." With few minutes
of delay, "sensors have detected the cloud but readings are
unclear at this distance," reported Worf. "Worf, put on the main
viewer." "Aye, Captain." The image was not clear as it was still
thousands kilometers away from the Enterprise but the cloud was
hugh. Picard nodded, looking at the image of cloud on the main
viewer called out. "Ensign Ro, take us in for a closer look at
quarter impulse." "Aye, aye Captain," responded a female Bajoran
ensign at the helms.
The Enterprise approached the cloud. It appeared rather nebulous
and dark, and spaned several thousand cubic kilometers. Suddenly
the Red Alert siren sounded.
"Mr Data, report!" cried Picard. "Sensors detected another vessel
approaching the cloud from the other side of the Neutral Zone."
Worf announced after checking his reading, "scanners indicate
that the approaching ship is a Romulan Warbird, sir." Picard
twisted his eyebrow, looking at his first officer. "Worf, open a
hailing frequency to the Warbird."
While Worf was attempting to hail the Romulan, the Warbird
stopped on the view screen, paused a moment and proceeded to
enter the cloud. And suddenly the Warbird was no longer in view.
"Hailing ignored, Romulan has entered the cloud and is no longer
registering on my scanners, sir," reported Worf. "Ionized gases
and metallic particles of the cloud prevent our sensors from
scanning the interior of the cloud." Data reported. "Your
assessment Number One," Picard asked still watching the cloud on
the main viewer. "Can't see that we have much choice, Captain.
We're on our side of the Neutral Zone after all, and starfleet
did order us to determine the nature of this phenomena. I say, go
in after them." Picard replied at his first officer's comment as
he did his famous Picard maneuver, "a bold decision, one that I
must agree with. Helm take us in, maintain Red Alert. Worf, ready
phasers and load porton torpedo, and find me that Romulan."
"Aye, Sir," Worf replied with a grim grin.

A warning sound alarmed with a plotting 3D image popped up in
front of him indicating two enemy objects approaching. Laser
sensors could be accurate on their own terms even with heavy
Minovski interference with the technological advance, but as
Lieutenant Ralv had often said at his Military Academy training,
until one confirmed something visually, it was not confirmed.
That aside, the monitor showed something approaching at high
speed.
On the bridge of the Neo-O'Brian, Operator Mark saw the same
visuals on his goggles and yelled at the captain. "Judging by the
size, sir, one of them looks like Marasai FR-Z3, but the other
one's closing on us faster than I've ever heard of!" "First one's
speed matches a Marasai profile exactly, sir," chimed in Oscar,
the other operator. "But the other one is not on our data bank!"
"Ready mega-beam cannons and missiles!" Captain Bright Noah II
screamed, at the same time glancing behind him at Lieutenant J.G.
South Benedict.
Thinking he had heard the pilot say something, he went over to
the wounded man strapped in his gurney. "If... if it's a fast red
suit... it's... it's the enemy's new... prototype. It's taken...
out my squadron.. along with Leardish Mk-II. You've got to get the
ship... out of here, skipper!" Benedict's face looked contorted,
not from the pain of his wounds but from fear. And he said it
again, "get out... of... here..."
Out in space in the MSZ-096FV cockpit, Luke saw a reddish point
of light wove through the stars toward him at high speed, and
with the help of the 3D V-Viewer he felt a chill ran down his
spine. For a second he thought he was looking at a legendary red
comet, but then his cockpit's 360 degree wall screen showed a
close-up of a red mobile suit he hadn't seen before. In it's
head, behind a panel that looked like the windshield of a helmet,
a green-coloured mono-eye flashed as if it was smiling to him,
the dead smile. It was sighting down the barrel of its beam
cannon. Luke twisted the left and right joypads at both side of
his linear seat toward each other and the entire mobile suit spun
sharply to the right. At the same time, the on-board AI computer
automatically activated the beam shield. The enemy fired, and a
beam from the rifle sliced through the darkness of space, leaving
a trail of long red light. But Luke knew that a single long line
meant his opponent had actually fired rapidly several shots.
With a horrible sinking feeling, he remembered the lieutenant's
lectures: "You gotta watch out for guys who fire long burst with
beam cannon, 'cause one of rounds might hit you. But as long as
you can still see the barrel of the gun, you're okay, 'cause it
means you're still alive. It's the guy who never wastes a shot
you really should be scared of. He'll really makes you stay on
your toes. You wanna know how to spot him ? Lemme tell ya. In
real combat, you'll just know. And when you know, you'll probably
be dead. The first thing to do when you sight an enemy is to pray
he's an idiot like you. That's your only hope." Luke felt lucky.
He managed to dodge the red mobile suit's blast. Several 3D
monitors appeared on left and right sides and began to display
data, but he did not have time to look. It was all he could do to
track the enemy mobile suit streaking across the monitor. When
the red machine seemed to hesitate, he pulled the trigger for his
mega-beam rifle.
The blast from the mega-beam rifle sliced through the space,
leaving a trail of white light, but the red mobile suit was
already bearing down from another direction. If Luke had kept his
eye on the light, he would have completely overlooked the enemy's
suit. But the moment he pulled the trigger, he knew he had
missed, so he deliberately broadened his focus. Like a real red
comet, the red mobile suit bore down on him, and its mono-eye
again flashed. Luke fired the vulcan gun built into the
MSZ-096FV's forehead, knowing it could not destroy it but hoping
to at least knocking its camera eye out of action.
The red mobile suit swooped left, executing an almost perfect
ninety-degree turn. Luke maneuvered his suit to square off
against it and saw his instrument panel flash a warning. He
jammed the joypads to put the entire mobile suit into an evasive
maneuver and saw two bands of red beams passing very close by.
The enemy mobile suit was trying a death blow, but Luke had
managed to dodge it again. His reflexes were better than most of
the NT mobile suit corp pilot, but the GUNDAM was responding to
them instantly.
